Join Mark Gwynne Jones, Psychicbread and The Green Room Writers - for this one off, verdant verge of voices - presented by WORD! and Brightsparks and celebrating the creation of Attenborough Arts Centre’s brand new ‘Green Room’ garden.
OCTOBER 2ND 2018. 12.45 - 1.45PM (PERFORMANCE)
ATTENBOROUGH ARTS CENTRE, LANCASTER RD, LEICESTER
FREE - with thanks to Everybody's Reading, University of Leicester and Kew Gardens.
Located via Attenborough Art Centre’s galleries, The Green Room is an ecologically grown, amphitheatre style space; educational centre; campaign; sanctuary and gallery of inspiration, dedicated to wellbeing, pollination and UK native species.
This special celebratory event will feature an hour long performance from Mark Gwynne Jones - “one of the most accomplished performance poets in the land” (The Guardian), Psychicbread and The Green Room Writers…alongside a seed swap, ‘Pop-up Green Library’ and relaxed tours of the garden.
Bone(meal) up on your green themed books, kick back with music - and enjoy this very special welcome to the garden.
The Green Room has been funded by Kew Gardens and University of Leicester. It’s development has been led by Brightsparks (
